Trekker Tent 2.2 | Ultralight 2-Person Trekking Pole Tent
The Trekker Tent 2.2 is a refined, high-performance 2-person backpacking shelter engineered for hikers who demand maximum interior volume without the weight of a traditional pole system. By utilizing your own trekking poles for support, this tent eliminates heavy fiberglass or aluminum poles, allowing for a trail weight that outclasses standard tents in its category.
Advanced Ventilation & Condensation Control Unlike traditional single-wall tents, the 2.2 features expanded micro-mesh sidewalls and integrated side vents. This "1.5-layer" design creates consistent airflow, significantly reducing interior condensation in humid or high-altitude environments.
Key Technical Features:
-
Massive Interior Footprint: Over 7 feet long and 5 feet wide, providing ample room for two hikers and gear storage.
-
Fast Pitch Design: Optimized for a 60-second setup using trekking poles, sticks, or overhead ridge lines.
-
Puncture-Resistant Floor: Built with a specialized lightweight floor material that provides high durability without requiring an additional footprint or ground cloth.
-
Versatile Pitching Options: High-visibility guy-line points allow for stable setup on rocky terrain, forest floors, or tight backcountry sites.
Whether you are thru-hiking the PCT or looking for a reliable survival shelter, the Trekker Tent 2.2 offers the perfect balance of spaciousness, durability, and ultralight efficiency.

Partner wanted this specific tent, was very happy with it!
Bought this tent and the trekking poles in March 25'.. Used the tip and tricks to seal the tent as recommended.. It worked great during my recent camping trip on the Appalachian Trail and survived a thunderstorm throughout the night with no leaks.. Slight condensation on the walls due to me being a first timer and as I did not go out to adjust the pole height in the rain.. It packed small and light too!!! There was enough space for my sleeping pad, backpack and all the stuff that I had lying around inside the tent.. lol!!
I would love if they can come up with a vestibule accessory that can be added to the front of the tent as getting in and out of tent in wet weather meant that the inside of the tent near the door was bound to get dirty and you end up getting your hands dirty when opening the zip on the exterior door due to all the dirt that splashes onto it due to the rain.. It would also help with ventilation would allow to just leave the mesh closed during the rain..
Definitely recommend this tent!!!
I’ve had my eye on this tent for awhile because of all the positive reviews from it and I completely understand why. This tent is great and compact, is is my first backpacking tent but it is a great one that is very easy even to setup. I own a six person instant tent and this thing takes just about as much time as the six person INSTANT TENT, which I thought was pretty awesome. Especially if you have trekking poles it is just about the easiest thing to setup. Not to mention the great tent stakes that come with is as well, they’re very similar to the msr groundhogs except that they do not include a little rope at the top for an easy takeout, there’s a hole to put your own para cord in there if that’s really an issue for people so it’s a pretty good tent stake overall. All in all very good tent and don’t think I’ll be upgrading anytime soon.
Got the trekker 1 loved it so got the 2.2 perfect for solo fishing nights
Really excited for this tent! I bought my tent a few months ago and set it up today to seam seal it and get it ready to accompany me on a new season of backpacking now that it’s getting warmer. I am going to seam seal it anyway because better safe than sorry, but I haven’t identified any problem areas or loose threads after inspecting it thoroughly. I really feel like I got a great deal and I would encourage anyone thinking about this tent to pull the trigger and pick it up.
